Vintage & Pin Up

Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair

On 28th January I went to possibly the best Vintage fair I’ve been to! I almost had to sit on my hands to stop me from hurting my bank balance. There was so much on offer it was unbelievable. I’ve been to Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair before (see the blog post from last time here) and thoroughly enjoyed it back then, but this was something else.

Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair run’s across several cities in the UK and they showcase all the best vintage traders the nation has to offer. It’s easy to see why they’ve won ‘The Best Vintage Fair in the UK’ in 2013 2014 and 2015 in the National Vintage Awards.

Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair advertised the event as a January Sale Special, but special was an understatement – it was absolutely fantastic.

The first stall I was drawn to was filled with antique trinkets. I try to scout around first for things I desperately want and can’t leave behind, then I come back to them later if I just can’t stop thinking about the item and buy it.

But just look at all of this sparkle! Who can possibly leave this?!

As well as jewellery and clothes, other stalls sold vintage home wears, books, handmade items and memorabilia.

After my initial sweep of the floor I started buying. My first purchase was two vintage blouses from Vintage Blouses by Blousey.

They look beautiful on and really accentuate my waist, perfect for travelling in too. I’m thinking of taking these on my trip to Canada.

I then went on to buy a beautiful 1970’s vintage skirt from The Vintage Underground. (Images of the skirt will come soon, but trust me… its beautiful!)

After a bit of shopping it was time to calm down with a cup of tea and cake from the pop up tearoom by Lil’s Parlour. I chose a slice of homemade cherry Bakewell cake to enjoy with my tea, and it was incredibly delicious, I could have gladly ate more.

Bexi Owen sung wonderfully, and helped you fully immerse into the vintage experience. I was still humming her rendition of ‘and Then He Kissed Me’ the day afterwards!

The venue itself is lovely, I’ve been to Kings Hall a few times for various events, and almost held a show there myself.

I loved my purchases so much that I then immediately went for a photoshoot in them. I’m waiting on the images, but I’ll be sure to post them on my Instagram feed.

I highly recommend Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair, they really get what their guests want and provide it in huge glittering and glamorous waves.

Did you attend this event? What did you think? Let me know in the comments.
