As many of you may have already figured out, this Kimono by Retro Diva is a firm favorite of mine, so it only makes sense to express my love for it through a blog post.

Back in 2018 Sue at Retro Diva found the perfect fabric to make this masterpiece with. It’s a heavy material that’s beautifully silky. This means that it hangs sublimely and gives an elegant sheen under lights.

The kimono can be worn in a number of different ways. I’ve worn it as a dress outdoors, I’ve worn it with the Retro Diva loungewear and I’ve also worn it on its own. It’s so comfortable and versatile it’s hard to believe you can create so many looks from one outfit. You can also change the look just by the way you tie it.

Retro Diva designed satin loungewear that goes perfectly with this kimono as well as the ivory boudoir gown. On our photoshoot at Dunwood Hall, I wore the kimono with the loungewear trousers and felt so elegant. The kimono has everything you could need – Comfort, style, glamour. The material feels just gorgeous against your skin too. It’s such a treat to wear.

My favorite time to wear this kimono (outside of a photoshoot) is after a long day in front of the camera. Photoshoots can really take it out of you, so I love coming back, taking all of my make-up off, sink into this kimono with a glass of well-deserved wine in front of the TV. The weight of it makes it so relaxing and cozy. Seriously, try it!
