Retro Diva’s New Ivory Boudoir Gown.
Retro Diva’s new Ivory Boudoir Gown is much like its sister ‘The Original’ Boudoir Gown in length and in sleeve type, however it has its own distinctive droplets of Old Hollywood Glamour.
We’ve been very lucky to use two incredible locations to shoot the boudoir gown in – Dunwood Hall and The Roaches Hall. Both locations fit the theme of the garments perfectly and provided the perfect backdrop to Retro Diva’s vision.
This gown has it’s own gimmick – The Ivory Boudoir Gown floats through air! The gown is so incredibly delicate it literally moves with the air like liquid, almost ghostly.
It’s made with a very light chiffon and adorned with beautiful lace details around the waist, elbows and shoulders. This provides support for the garment where its needed whilst giving it a timeless feel.
I felt incredibly feminine in this gown, I felt like the woman the younger me wanted to be.
Retro Diva’s eye for detail is second to none, she even thinks about how the fabric will sit against the skin, how it will feel, how it will move; making the whole garment more of an experience every time you put it on, rather than just a piece of clothing. That’s the way fashion should be – an experience that moves you. It should make you feel special and puts you in the spotlight.
The new gown has straps that tie at the front made out of the same glamorous material. Despite the materials ability to float, the straps are surprisingly sturdy – no wardrobe mishaps here.
