This dress was heavily inspired by Dita Von Teese. It was actually one of the first designs Sue (from Retro Diva) and I spoke about when stepping on this fashion adventure together back in February 2017.

Retro Diva

We had to find a fabric that closely matched my skin tone in order to achieve a ‘almost nude’ look. Once we’d found the perfect tone and type of material we then ventured into finding the perfect lace.

Sue went away and performed her magic with a sewing machine and produced yet another droplet of sheer Hollywood Glamour.

The dress is made from two parts; a dress and a corset to add definition to the waist, as the look we were aiming for couldn’t be achieved by fabric alone. The corset was beautifully embellished with lace and rhinestones, making a girl feel like a million bucks.

The dress itself fits perfectly. You can tell that each stitch was sewn with care and attention. I particularly love the way the back has been cut, exposing shoulders and just enough back.

Absolutely perfect in every way!
