The Scarlet Blouse
The Scarlet Blouse is something of a Hollywood Fatale’s dreams. It has so many distinguishing features; it’s hard to pick a favorite.
I first fell in love with this top when the description read ‘Bring out the Hollywood starlet in you’ – Immediately hooked!
There’s no denying that the Scarlet Blouse is a feat of elegance, however, I’ve never come across a blouse that can seamlessly fit into two totally different themes, something that just made me love it more!
I initially went to the shoot thinking ‘Hollywood Glamour’ and started posing as such, but after borrowing Becky’s hat (the amazing photographer) the blouse started to look more and more western. I found myself channeling a badass female lead in an old western film. See?! Two totally different themes and it still works perfectly for either one.
I started matching the Scarlet blouse with different items of clothing. Given that my wardrobe is predominantly ‘old Hollywood’ I came up with so many elegant variations: a high waisted skirt, wide fit trousers, even the odd pair of shorts all looked perfect.
Lady K Loves has recently had a major jeans rebrand (Pre-order now live!) and god, I’ve never lusted over a pair of jeans before but Lady K Loves jeans make my eyes pop out of my head! Especially given the fact that a high waisted pair of jeans with this blouse would create an outfit that would make Clint Eastwood weep with jealousy.
I’m really excited about taking this top to Canada with me later this year – let’s see if I can get some western-style shots in the badlands! 😍
Features
The Scarlet Blouse has a detachable necktie, you can use this to either conceal or reveal the stunning plunging neckline. The blouse also features split sleeves with tight cuffs for a dramatic flair. I really admire the fact that Lady K Loves pays attention to the smaller details (as I mentioned in my last post with the V2 skirt) – The buttons on this blouse are really quite special.
