Autobots – Roll out.
This is actually spectacular to see, the dam is huge!
It’s built over two time zones, stands 726ft tall, has 17 turbines and took 5 years to build. If that isn’t impressive I don’t know what is.
It was built to supply South California, Arizona and southern Nevada (around 8 million people) with power using the Colorado River.
During the tour we went 530ft down in a small lift, we were then lead down a corridor to see the turbine room (also featured in many films) that houses an almighty 17 turbines.
I of course braved putting my phone over the edge to get this fantastic shot.
