Spooky Season

So Halloween is going to be a little (a lot) different this year.

2020 has taken its toll on us all, so it’s only natural that we’re seeking moments of normality and creating our own pockets of happiness. I’ve had my Halloween decorations up since 1st October and my little glass pumpkins have kept me going.

I wanted to dedicate a blog post to the spooky things that have kept me happy this season. 😊

The idea popped into my mind that I wanted a cauldron on my balcony. Luckily a friend at work was doing a lot of gardening at the time and saved me some sticks to create my tripod.

I bought a cauldron, green solar lights, and solar candles from Amazon. There was some artificial ivy hanging around the house doing nothing so I popped it on the tripod. I created a makeshift campfire using solar candles and some sticks, and, I have to say… I’m pretty damned impressed with how it turned out!

Pin Up and Pearl sent me a wonderful spooky box of treats including shoe clips, a spider hair clip, a bandana, and a witch badge.

Another friend at work gifted me a halloween countdown calendar which went perfectly with all the decorations in my living room. I bought myself some artificial autumnal leaves from amazon, two glass pumpkins from hobbycraft and the ever elusive halloween candels from Home Bargains.

Whatever you end up doing this Halloween, I hope you have a great night, stay safe and get spooky!
