Vintage & Pin Up

The Marilyn Monroe Files.

At the start of February 2018 I was published in issue 86 of Vintage Life Magazine. It featured images from a photoshoot and an article I’d written on Marilyn Monroe, both of which I was incredibly proud of.

I absolutely adored re-creating the white sheets photoshoot with Emilia Gaza (@cinnamongazephoto), the original images we took our inspiration from were captured by Canadian photographer Douglas Kirkland in 1961 for the 25th anniversary edition of Look Magazine.

Take a look at the images side by side. I’m so pleased with what we came up with! (We even had Frank Sinatra tracks playing in the background.)

Working on this set felt incredibly empowering, and to be totally honest, made me feel really elegant.
