Last time we visited Vasquez we arrived at twilight, it looked beautiful but you still couldn’t see much so this year we decided to go in the morning.
I actually got to climb it this time!
The views from the top were outstanding.
Vasquez Rocks has been the backdrop for many films and TV series such as Bill and Ted, Westworld, Star Trek, Planet Of The Apes, Blazing Saddles and Friends.
It’s really quite cool and you can see why so many filmmakers decide to shoot here even though it’s been shot numerous times, every angle is unique.
Things to do:
- Count friendly lizards
- Climb
- Reenact your favourite scene
- Take in the view and relax
